Camp Coach:  S. Nigel Platt
A native of England, S. Nigel Platt has nearly 40 years rugby experience as a player, coach, and game official.  He is the long-time head coach of of the Georgia Collegiate All-Stars and last years successful head coach of Palmetto Collegiate All Stars. Platt served as the head coach of Reaseheath College in England recently and  the former head coach of the South Collegiate All-Stars. He is currently the backs coach for the South Collegiate All-Stars  Platt is a Level II RFU Coach, Level II USA/IRB Rugby Coach, Level 1 Referee and a Level I referee evaluator. 

Camp Coach: Vince Atkinson
Vince Atkinson is a USA /IRB Level II Coach.  A graduate of Clemson University, he has served as head coach of the Clemson Women's Rugby Team and as an assistant coach for numerous All-Star college teams.  In 2007, he was named head coach of the South Collegiate All-Star Team after serving as assistant coach for the program for three years.  Vince is currently an assistant coach with Super League Club - Charlotte. 

Camp Coach: Matt Huckaby
Matt Huckaby is the head coach of the number 3 ranked division one team in the nation - Arkansas State University.  Matt is a USA / IRB Level II Coach.  He has been involved with the Mid-South All-Star program and is curently the South Collegiate All-Stars attack coach.  He was an All-American in 2001 and 2002; also representing the Eagles 7's in 2001.  Matt has toured Ireland, Hong Kong, Bejing, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina and South Africa.



Camp Director:  John Roberts
John Roberts founded the Furman Rugby program in 1998 and has guided the team to three national Division III titles and five South Championships.  His career coaching record is 122-38-1.  Over the past two years his teams, known for their well-drilled and passionate play, have compiled a remarkable 34-6 record.  Roberts also served as coach of the Palmetto Collegiate All-Stars.  Last year, the university's board of trustees voted to name the rugby pitch in his honor.






Camp Counselor:  Patrick Reid
Patrick is a graduate of the Citadel for whom he played along with the Palmetto All-Stars.  He is currently the head coach of the Greenville High School team.  Our other camp counselors will include former and current members of the USA College All-American Team and Furman University.
